I've had a Miracle Mate before very much like a Tristar with a cordwinder. It's also quite a bit heavier. I wouldn't say it was a bad machine, but i'd take a Tristar or patriot over one just due to the lighter weight

Just realized

Why would that home have this hunk of junk vacuum when they have a central vac? When they begin to clean the stairs at 5:40 in the video there is a central vac inlet right by the stairs. This is one of the most ridiculous vacuums I have ever seen and the biggest waste of money. How much do all those filters cost to constantly replace? With this shady business there are probably zero service centers available and replacement filters might disappear with the company at any moment leaving you stranded with an expensive, unserviceable and unmaintainable hunk of junk. What hogwash this entire thing is!

Well I do like how the handle can hook over furniture while using the hose, or lay on the stairs for stair cleaning. The attachment set also looks really good for a bagless upright: a big horsehair dusting brush, an upholstery tool and large crevice tool plus a floor brush. Way better than most in that regard. And I like the two speed motor.

But it does look really CHEAP though and the handle joint looks like it would break easily.

Plus having to change the filter when you empty it sounds expensive. They don't say how much the yearly maintenance kits cost.

Lots of pyramid scheme and scamway type stuff out there. It makes you wonder who really buys this stuff and where they peddle it.

That is another concern!  If I owned a vacuum company, I would try to use standardized filter sizes and bags to make it easy for customers in the future in the event that they couldn't get the real deal.   Of course, no company seems to think that way!
