Can anyone tell me the other names of vintage vacuum cleaners from the 50s and older that used the names like airway, and airmaster ect.. there was an ad in a thread back aways with a drawing of a pretty lady in a buffont gown and stilettos cleaning a floor with a scrubber by the brand airmaster. I tried to find out about airmaster and I came up empty. I like those names from the 50s and older that attempted to sound smooth and luxorious for the consumer. please let me know. thanks Bill

Air-Way used the word "Sanitizor". Rexair used the name "Rainbow". Filter Queen used the words "Golden Monarch". Eureka used "Roto-Matic" as well as "Air-O-Matic" for the tank cleaner. Hoover used "Citation" and "Convertible" as well as "Constellation". Sears used "Lady Kenmore". GE used "Roll Easy". The 1950's were a great time for vacuum manufacturers. The largest display in the world's only Vacuum Cleaner Museum, in St. James, Missouri, is the 1950's section. I have over 200 machines that came from the 1950's, and we rotate displays in that section all the time.
