Question about Riccar generic central vac powerhead

I had a question about this:

Does anyone know if you can buy just the wand? Does this version have a special neck or is it simply a want that connects to the Riccar style connection at the powerhead and has a universal plastiflex cord management alignment for the hose handle?

I want to get a 2nd powerhead for my central vac (I already have the hose, got a killer deal on it) since, well, 2 is better than 1 . I saw a good local deal on CL for just the powerhead off of a riccar canister - and thought of fixing it up, etc. Not sure if this will be worthwhile or not ...

The wand in the picture from the Riccar website, will not fit the standard connection of a Riccar canister. The neck of the power nozzle for the central vac is "universal" inch and a quarter, with a hole for the button of the wand. The cord coming out of the power nozzle runs all the way up the wand. A standard power nozzle for a canister has the quick release neck and no cord running up the wand.

So it wouldn't work without replacing the neck. Probably makes the local deal less of a deal
