I've recently had an obsession with LED lights, so I decided to convert the current daily driver, my Electrolux Epic 3500 SR. However, after conversion, it seems that the the brush roll motor runs at a noticeably higher RPM and has a slight electrical smell. The new LEDs do not draw as much power as the incandescent bulb.
Did the original incandescent bulb work as a resistor for the motor? I don't want to risk permanent damage to the machine, as it is one of my favorites.
