Matthew here again with the Quantum Vacuum. In response to Rob's comment about the Intertek Performance Results: we were testing the levels of pathogens in the air such as mold, fungi, bacterium, and viruses. This was to prove that it actually purifies the air in the home, rather than just cleaning it.
The Rainbow systems prior to 1996 did not include HEPA filters, but that wasn't the only reason dust would be emitted from the machine. I know because our President worked for Rainbow for a number of years. The actual design of the machine didn't force dirt and dust directly into the water, but just into the basin of the machine. Much of the dust never got wet due to this design and would be released back into the air, which our President corrected when designing the Quantum Vac Pro. With our machine, everything is forced directly into the water and therefore trapped. Of course, items like talc and drywall will not be trapped due to them being non-soluble materials.
I have a Quantum myself, and every time I turn it on, I can feel the difference in the air. No musty smells coming out from unchanged filters, no visible dust release (the only reason I include "visible" is because I don't know of any test results displaying the dust emissions, and can only give my personal review), and I love not having to worry about changing filters, just wash out the basin.
We do have a product demo where we shine a light on the vacuum's exhaust after a lot of use and you can't see anything coming out. We do the same thing with any other traditional vacuum system, and you can easily see dust spew into the air when you power up the motor.
I can't argue about the local service other than saying we are working to build our distribution base to make service more readily available.

Sirena is also a great choice, it's only a couple hundred more than our product and can readily be serviced just about anywhere!
