The Vacuum Cleaner Collectors Convention is next month. Can you believe it's almost here? The Kirby expert, Adam Mercer, stopped by to help clean the Museum and prepare for the Convention.

Here he is using the Hoovrah Smart Wash to clean the rugs. What does the Hoovrah 61 think?

If

You are displaying bagless vacuums I'd recommend one of the early sharks.
IMO shark are better than windtunnel,a eureka and the Bissell bagledz.
It sounds everyone is having a good time.

Looking forward to being there! I can't wait for the fellowship, friendship and vacuums! Have my rental car, hotel and flights all lined up.
I'm hoping to pick up the GE Premiere with the new motor. I just spoke with Tania tonight and she is hoping to make it as well.

The countdown begins....................

Hey Charlie

Always wonderful to see you. And Tania too. To think I've known Tania for more than 25 years now.

The VCCC was very small then. We held a convention in St. Louis, and the cleaning competition was held in my living room. We used real dirt from real vacuum bags. Jason Davis entered a model 1C Kirby and the dirt jammed the fan. He burst into tears, bless his teenaged heart. His mother and father were there and told him it would be OK. We fixed it.

It was at that very VCCC convention that the late Clay Floyd took hold of my Thermax AF, shook it, and water sprayed out the bottom all over the living room. He said "A Rube Goldberg Invention". That was also the VCCC convention where Craig Long shocked himself on the Lewyt Electronic and his hair flew straight out. Good times with good friends. "Memories light the corners of my mind".

The amazing Michael Balda is going to help with your Premier and its new Armature. Michael works on 80 year old motors all the time, so the two of us are going to get your Premier back to its old "Premier" self in no time. And we're doing it during the first day of the Convention so everyone can see a motor that old pulled apart. Hopefully, folks go away from the Convention this year with knowledge of motor repair. After all, that's why we have Conventions, to share knowledge.

Don't forget, the cleaning competition this year is Straight Suction Canister Vacuums. You and I have more experience with Cleaning Competitions during Conventions that anyone else alive. Wonder what Compact that Tania will bring for it? LOL

Sounds like fun! I'd love to come visit some day.

This has been bugging since I first saw it, and I just remembered it again now. What is the cleaner next to the Brilliant in this photo? It reminds me of a Vital Rand, but is clearly electric.
