Hello guys,I am the proud owner of a 1929 Eureka stright suction vacuum cleaner,But it is missing a part referred to as a "Carbon brush cap",That goes on the side of the motor,Keeping the carbon brush in place.Since i am unable to get a picture of it (It's in another house),I have enclosed a sapishly-drawned picture of the missing part.

Please let me know if anyone can be of assistance!

TRY AN OLD ESTABLISHED VAC REPAIR STORE...

THEY MAY HAVE SOME PARTS THAT WILL WORK. GOOD NEWS IS THAT THERE ARE STILL MANY OF THE OLD EUREKAS AROUND FOR SPARES. YOU MIGHT FIND A JUNKER ON EBAY FOR CHEAP.

Bernie, it'd have to be pretty damn old to store parts for a 1929 Vacuum!

All the same, it is an idea I guess... You'd have a better shot at trying to find a donor machine.
