Power Nozzles for Central vac or Canister

Now that I have experienced all of the premium power nozzles currently in production, I have formed my top pick. Overall for quality I would choose the Lindhaus or Sebo. When choosing based upon personal preference I would choose the Sebo. Both the Sebo and Lindhaus are nimble, but I like some features better on the Sebo. I prefer the Sebo for its ability to do hard floors, I would not take the Lindhaus nozzle on the hard floor (I don’t like the plastic base plate scraping on the floor). I also like that the Sebo gives you the ability to adapt the nozzle to any future carpets or rugs you might purchase. I really like the et1 for its extreme nimble operation, the small L shape makes it get in and around anything. I definitely don’t think you could go wrong with any of the nozzle in the poll, as it’s down to preference.

Plus, I feel the ET1 needs 1 more height adjustment setting - on some low pile area rugs I have, I have found that setting the height adjustment on 1 makes it suck down to the rug too much to get good agitation & grooming, but putting it to 2 makes the brush hardly dig into the carpet at all! So I much prefer the Wessel Werk nozzles over Sebo, plus I think all 3 are the same quality.

The heights are a bit strange on the Sebo, but I find that the 3 is the same as the 3 on the Wessel Werk.

Mine would be the Stealth which is basically a 15 inch Lindhaus power nozzle. Other than the quality and reliability, I really like that the brushroll is not only super easy to clean but also I rarely see hair get tangled up.

The stealth would be my pick with the quality, detangling, etc, however the neck is too stiff on the stealth so I have to go with the et-1

I’ve heard about their high rpm as well! I have the single row brush in the 14inch head on my Healthcare, and I’ve never had to clean anything off of the brush roller. The brush remained clean even with my Australian shepherd’s hair, would have been nice to have when I had a border collie!

That would be my main complaint with the Sebo, it gets the most hair wrapped around than the other options. Between an Australian shepherd and a longer haired cat, the Sebo is always full of hair for me to clean (not really full, but enough to clean off).

I like the Wessel Werk EBK360 the best overall, followed by a Lindhaus, then it's between a eureka Vibragroomer III and the Sebo Et-1
I will say I think the Sebo is the most robust of the bunch but that slow brush speed just has me skeptical of it

I definitely wish that the Sebo and Lindhaus had headlights. You would think that the manufacturer would put headlights on a nozzle that can get under things. If you’re going under things, you just might want to see where your cleaning! Not sure why Lindhaus does not have lights on their nozzles other than the cordless, but same thing with the Miele 228.

In our home on our rugs with our pet hair the two Miele power nozzles are the worst we have. The SEB228 is simply useless. Nothing I do with it removes the pet hair. It scrapes the hair back into a nice ruler straight pile at the back of the stroke and leaves it there. If I try vacuuming the pile 90 degrees to the original direction it just moves the pile 90 degrees but never removes the hair. Just rearranges it. Totally useless. And this is with a perfect running S558 btw. Put an SEB236 on the hose and it will remove the hair eventually but it takes 5-7 passes to get it all. Interestingly an old SEB224 with its steel brush roll and sole plate did a better job but I burned up a new belt in less than ten minutes of use on our dense area rugs ( the same rugs will occasionally make a new Kirby belt squeal from the resistance ).

But a less powerful Sebo C3.1 with an ET-C ( its original power nozzle ) or an ET-1 and the hair is gone in 1-2 passes. Same with an ET350e using our old Patriot. Same for any Kenmore power nozzle or the 14 inch wide Lindhaus power nozzle ( I finagled the canister neck from Lindhaus into an MD Stealth power nozzle and run that with the Aria and our Vortech XR3000 ). One or two passes and the hair is gone. Oh, and the cheap Chinese power nozzle that came with the Metrovac Evolution canister likewise cleans our rugs in 1-2 passes. The CMB Edgelift power nozzle that came with our Miracle Mate Platinum cleans better than the Miele nozzles.

From my experience the Lindhaus nozzle is the best followed by Sebo, Kenmore and the Titan branded thing that came with out Metrovac. I continue to be surprised how nice to use and how good that cheap Titan brand nozzle that came with the Metrovac is but it has a nice wooden brush roll, a geared belt and a really quiet motor.

The brush rolls in the SEB236 get hot and warp and sometimes melt at the end caps. And to add insult to injury a replacement brush roll from Miele costs $95. I have three EBK360s/ SEB228s and all are parked. The Vortech XR3000 has the same hose handle used by Lindhaus for their electric canister hoses so I run the XR3000 with the 380 mm wide ( 14 inch ) Lindhaus power nozzle. I like the Vortech a lot more than any Miele.

Sebo ET-1 and ET-2 on DuoVac Star and Asteria, one in each house. With Bernese Mountain Dogs and a Newfie we vacuum EVERY day, sometimes 2x if visitors are expected. The ET's make the carpets look great and the removal of the brush roll for hair removal takes but a second. In two minutes the roll is devoid of hair and re-installed in the power head. I would still recommend the ET's even if we didn't have the dogs, for maneuverability, quality, and cleaning results. PB

Champion??? Who dat? The power nozzles Panasonic used to make for the Kenmore brand, their own brand and others like Cen-Tec, Nutone and Hayden are now made by Suzhou Cleva Electric Appliance Co Ltd.

My hunter green Beam imperial from the late 90's is a higher profile similar to the Eureka Express and Beam rug master shape. Later Beam imperials were totally different E-Lux variants.
I saw the Champion power nozzle on a Florida seller shop Central vac's direct and and one other. Just Google it. It's black with a height adjuster. The Sprite is white with a blue led. lens.

They are made by Qindao Creation Industry & Commerce Co Ltd. They are sold with Cirrus and Johnny vac VC439 canisters made by the same company and are frequently called the Galaxy power nozzle. Oreck also sold it with their FC1000 canister vac. I have one from a Cirrus VC439. It's ok but nothing special. Plastic brush roll and flat stretch belt. They're kind of loud. It is nowhere near as good as a modern Kenmore or Titan power nozzle.

I think I know what Beam Imperial nozzle you have. I believe I've seen one of those before from my old local vacuum store in the repair isle many years ago. But I've seen more of them sold under the Smart brand, I definitely remember those. Even our good friend Owen appears to know about them as well.

The Beam Solaire looks very similar to my green one except for the wide florescent light. It also has clear nylon bristles, not blue. Server sporadic this morning.
