Tacony Corporation recently introduced their cordless Simplicity Freedom/Riccar SupraLite. It's a big success, and the people who have purchased them love them.
Hide A Hose is a central vacuum hose that stores inside the wall, so there is no coiling or uncoiling of the hose. The problem has always been that this hose was non-electric. Tacony Corporation decided to make the cordless upright into a Tandem-Air Power Nozzle for the Hide A Hose system.
As an owner of a Hide A Hose (along with my beloved Vacuflo commercial central vacuum), I got to try one of the prototypes. It works like a dream, better (in my opinion) than a regular Power Nozzle. The Tandem-Air system means the suction fan is "pushing" the air into the hose, and the central vacuum is sucking the air through the hose. It's a win-win situation in the war against dirt.
A friend from the Vacuum Group on facebook suggested I hook it up to a vintage cleaner, so I did.
This is an Air-Way model 55A cleaning carpeting thoroughly for the first time in almost 70 years of 'living'.
Imagine what it would do to an Electrolux model XXX? Or an Atlas? Or a Compact?
