Oops, Found Zeppelin

Here is my other Universal. I plan to add three port holes, up and forward, on each side, about an inch or so in diameter. I don't konw what it will be, some space traveler, but I have given up on making a convincing zeppelin.

That's really cool

and I love the old fluorescent lamp base -- the one sitting on the pipe organ in my church is nearly identical to it!

Happy Birthday Rick!

I'm 50 myself right now--at least until July 12. Enjoy your day!! I remember 8mm, too. My folks got a Mansfield Holiday outfit when I was about 3, still have it to this day, along with a couple other projectors I picked up along the way. Of course you can't get film for them anymore, but I like to get the projector out once in a while and look at the old movies. It's kind of sad, though, that so many of the people in those movies have passed on. But it's great to have the memories in those old movies--birthdays, Christmases, family trips, etc. Remember how, when someone was taking movies and you weren't doing anything you were told to "WAVE AT THE CAMERA"?
We were still taking movies up until the film was no longer available, and so have movies of our kids, too.
Jeff

Thanks Jeff

and happy fiftieth to you too! Yes I do remember and It was so natural to wave at no one in your own living room. I do that all the time. Also remember that after setting up the screen, threading the projector, etc. etc., It had become too late and time for folks to go home. Oh! those were the days!

Yes-I remember farm burn and bonepits-At a summer mountain cotrtage we had such a pit-I also too doubled as a shooting range-we didn't burn the stuff-mostly cans-they were recycled as "targets"Burning trash in that area during the summer-when we visted-was an extreme fire hazard.
At one worksite I worked at-before the one I am at now in Wash DC-They had a large Marathon compactor we put trash and stuff into-some of which was unreapirable electrinic equipment-was something seeing it get crunched in that large compactor!Yes,my grandfather lived on a farm as well-and as a very young child-remember his burn barrel and incinerator-no trash pickup in those places-esp at that time.
