I am wondering what the best way is to polish a vintage Kirby vacuum. I would like to know what compound is best to use and if the machine gets buffed by hand or with a machine.
You'll get a half dozen or so product recommendations....most of them will work just fine. My favorite is by hand with Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish.
Whatever you use....if you want the sheen to last, use a good auto wax to finish.
Yeah, what Kevin said. Also, if there are deep scratches that bother you, they can be sanded out. There are plenty of YouTube videos and posts on this site that will tell you how.
