U2560 Turbopower

Here is one of the situations where Hoover took an existing cleaner, enclosed a box of tools for free in the cleaners box and gave it a new model number.

Obviously no different in any way shape or form to the U2332 in Wedgewood Green and Deep Wedgewood Green, here is the U2560....

U2562 Turbopower - pointless model number two!

This was another free box of tools equipped machine, a version of the U2336 Glass Turbopower, in Laquer Red and Deep Laquer Red.

No photos of one of these, as they have probably all smashed and cracked out of existence.

Forgot to mention that all these free box of tools enclosed models, were introduced in 1989.

U2566 Turbopower - 3rd series core range

This was the basic hardbox model of the new 1989 series of Turbopowers, replacing the Wedgewood Green U2332.

This model came in a rather fetching colour scheme of Ramsey Rose and Deep Ramsey Rose.

This model is also a bit glass-ish!

Colour scheme was Ramsey Slate and Deep Ramsey Slate...

U2570 Turboboost

I think I am write in saying that this was a 400watts default model, from which you could get 410watts by holding the switch in its upper third posistion.

The switch had to be held manually in position to get the 'boost' and would fall back to off, when released.

Something like that anyway...

U2572 - pointless model number three!

No sooner had the new 1989 series been introduced, then Hoover did their new model because it has free tools trick.

U2572 was the free tools version of the basic U2566. No photos, but it was identical to the U2566.

U2574 - pointless model number four!

This was the free tools version of the autoflex equipped U2568.

Again no photo, but was identical to U2568.

U2602 Turbopower Total System

Here we have the U2602 - Hoovers 1st Total System Turbopower.

A very long production run sees many of this version surviving through to this day and the version which seems to turn up on ebay with the most frequency.

Colour scheme was Lilac Slate and Lilac Slate Shadow and belos is the early hood version....

the 4th and top of the range Turbopower was model U2604, coloured in Cotswold Beige and Deep Cotswold Beige.
