2 things

The reason it was moved to this forum is because the vintage is from 1979 and back, contemporary 1980- present. So even if it was from 1995, which is possible, it would still be on this forum. Also, not trying to be a jerk, just letting you know, it is Fantom, not Phantom. Phantom is like a ghost, Fantom is the vacuum brand. Congrats on your find!

you know, im a litle upset. i post this on here to see what people think, and the only responses i get are from fred changing it to contemporary and i understand why he did it and also why this goes in the contemporary forums, and you correcting me on spelling. And michael correcting me on how to spell Fantom is different. I understand why he corrected me on how to spell fantom. i would have done it if someone spelled kirby like kirbie. but i wouldnt correct peoples every day words if i knew what they meant. i asked my friends if they knew what i mean by tomaro and they understood. And i didnt even get asked what model it is or for some pictures.

You Don't Get It Kid

Do you?  You don't even have the capacity to punctuate or capitalize letters correctly much less spell correctly.  With mispellings and other grammar errors, you can only hope that people understand what you mean.  Good luck in your future endeavors and hope that people understand what you are trying to say.  Your communication is painful at best.

Correcting grammar is not an insult

To read posts with neglected spelling and grammar is both difficult to read and disrespectful. How am I to take you seriously if you put no effort towards communication? Vacuumland is not a series of text messages. You should have that impression by now.

Congratulations on the Fantom. They are an important piece in vacuum cleaner history.

Everyone else I have showed this to understands it all.
And I shouldn't have to use correct spelling because everyone can understand me, except you, and i come here to relax and talk about vacuums. If this were a job that required correct spelling and grammar then i would focus a bit more on using correct spelling and grammar, but this is a site for talking about vacuums.
IF YOU KEEP CORRECTIONG MY GRAMMAR, IM GOING TO LEAVE VACUUMLAND. It is pissing me off and it probably pisses others off when you do it to them.

Why This Important

When I taught graduate school at USC the foreign students usually had a better command of the English language in addition to their own.  If the US youth are lazy about communicating, the other countries are going to win over us and we will be a second class nation.  I guarantee you that there are youth in China that aren't lazy about language and communication.  That's who we're competing with.

Get into court and defend your position with that language.  You will lose.
