I saw one of these in a thrift shop yesterday. Model number MC6640, the usual hefty cord, stainless steel bottom plate and brush roll. Made in Japan. Typical red so often used on commercial machines. It had a reusable close bag, not often seen on uprights, at least not by me. Sorry, no picture.

Here's my youtube on it

Other than the heavyduty grounded cord and reuable bag there's no difference between it and the residential models

6600 series was a good line. It's pretty rare to see one of these with the cloth bag still inside. Most were tossed in favor of the disposable U/U3.

6647, 6640 were more or less a 6210 with different colors and like petek said, had a heavy 3 wire cord and single upper cord hook.

The later 6601, 6602 (through the 90's) models were in a darker gray color and did away with the idler pulley inside the base. Gone was the sliding Floor/ Rug selector. A standard-pulley brushroller was fitted and a single (U4) belt drove the brushroller. This made them much more reliable in harsh conditions.

Very nice machine!!!

I only recommend doing one thing to it.Remove and wash the foam filter that surrounds the motor this filter gets stuffed up with dirt and makes the motor run warm and reduces air flow.I am selling one that I serviced on eBay in my store "new2youvacuums".
