Hi!
Here I have a panasonic MC-E42N upright vacuum cleaner. It seams in great working order but is missing the crevice tool, dusting brush and extension wand from the back. Would this model also come with the end caps for the edge cleaning brushes? Does anyone have a spare set?
Here is a pic!

Nice machine! The panasonic 40 and 50 series are some of my favourites. My childhood machine is the white MC-E44 pictured on left :).

Sadly, both my machines are from around 1992 when Panasonic had already started fitting the end caps.

So is mine ment to have the end caps?
I have already burnt a cheap rug by tilting it on its side when it was on... Big mistake!

Not originally. It wasn't until complaints from parents whose children had stick their fingers in the side of the machine and hurt themselves that Panasonic started offering optional end caps for free and putting them on their machines as standard. Only the first series of 40 series (41, 42 and 43) were missing the end caps. The 2nd generation (44, 45 and 46) all had them included

Thank you!

You have put my mind at rest for now untill i have to find the attachments!
Your Mc-e44 is what i also grew up with. I bought my panasonic on ebay thinking it was white by the picture, turned out grey but in perfect condition. Dont mind surprises haha.
Im going to try and post some pictures of my collection soon, you will die when you see how faded my hoover senior is.

Seems I was wrong about the endcaps on mine looking back on my old video.. here it is... I haven't dug this vac outta the pile in a looong time, guess I should give it a go, get the cobwebs out

Thats a nice panasonic!
Just used mine on a really thick shag carpet and it did brilliant! There seams to be alot of differences between US and Uk models. Would love to see yours in action.
