My profile pic, Proline UVC 18 is the best upright IO used, well second best cus the features are crap lol, Dyson DC14, DC04, DC14 and DC27 + DC33 All the way!
The proline I regret throwing out :( I snmashed it, proper durable tho :D It had mad suction
I had the blue bagged cylinder, hose end didnt clip well, crevice tool holder broke, Filter didnt do well, floor tool broke, and motor kept going out of place!
Second one my Auntie gave me cus she was moving house and got a Henry, I cant get rid of it cus Aunt paid £30 for it and happily gave it to me, Which is really nice, BUT...
Bin keeps falling off
Use the vacuum for approx half an hour, turn it off, turn it on on low power, sounds like it runs on batteries which are gonna die
Floor tool cracked
Hose end cuff keeps getting un screwed, Filters ripped, And now it cut out on me!!! :@ It wont die but annoyed me so much, its in the shed now, gonna stay there for a while
Lesson:- Argos vacuums, cylinder or upright, both have good suction, but the cylinders are cheapo!!! uprights are descent but rubbish design

If it wasn't for Vax we'd stil have bagged uprights

Well not quite. Id say if it wasn't for Dyson, we'd still have a lot more bagged uprights.

The first "big three" of the European companies to go bagless were Hoover and Electrolux. Vax soon followed with their Dirt Devil U.S Swift uprights and then the flood gates opened shortly before TTI took over.

Then when the supermarkets et al brought out their bagless uprights, they were all Dirt Devil U.S based - including that Tesco horror/Argos Value bagless upright mk1.

Joe, I threw the proline out stupidly :(
This is because my Dad was doing a wood project and he was cutting wood too, and KI used for proline foir it, and The filter clips snapped off when I was tapping it out while it was on the handle top too, Then it got annpoying to empty etc :( Its only good for cleaning with- but the features are annoying, like hose storage, tools are crap, Hose is not stretchy, etc

Yeah joe I love mini's!! Especially old minis! My friend had an awesome orange one but it rusted up and noone would buy it when he put it on eBay!
My mum has a 2003 Mini Cooper but I still prefer the older minis!

Mower-strange looking machine-the deck is just like on an older 70's rear discharge Sunbeam mower-but the motor housing? Is this machine cordless and has a battery under the motor housing?Enquiring minds want to know!

Well I was using it last week for the most disgusting job ever... A blocked drain. Outdoors. And I had to wash it all out with the hosepipe outside. Now it's filthy and stinks so it lives in the garage. I have used it twice since to clean the mud and Hay off the back yard and out the car.
