Okay, so i Stopped by my local Oreck Store to look around nd drop off a sweeper for a tune up, i talked to the guy for awhile nd he said that the Edge Upright has problems with like wiring cause hr plugged his in at the shop nd it caused it to smoke or something, nd he said he got shocked, also he didnt know what i meant by burning up belts? Who dosent understand that? Its pretty simple? Also when for christmas when i decided to get a platinum pilot, but not buy from his store he said "Oh, you wont like the pilot at all, so theres no use in getting one, it dosent fit under things" I didn't want the damn thing for that i wanted it because it was new LOL! Anyways tell me some storys about morons at your local vac shops, even if its not oreck. Thanks(:

?!

I tried in every way to understand this story and it makes no sense to me? What are you trying to say about the dealer?

I guess that I really can't believe this story.

I'm as baffled as you, Dennis.
What I took away from this rambling stream-of-consciousness overly long 'tweet' is that the misspelling moron in the vac shop was not the proprietor but rather a 12 year old Ohio Valley Gurl.

Um Okay..`

Im sorry you dont understand it... the point is people who work in vacuum stores nd think they know everything..?.. because there was a thread about something like this... I should of been more specific.. Give ya that :) Not that your wrong just some vac store owners around here are so stupid..

The point of the thread is that he thinks his local Oreck dealer is arrogant and thinks he knows everything but is actually ignorant. The fact that the Oreck dealer didn't know anything about burning up belts, he says, means the dealer is stupid, though I think that the dealer likely just didn't want to admit a weakness of the product.

He is asking for other people to add any stories they may have about stupid people at vacuum stores.

I'll start. I was talking to a Kirby salesman the other day and asked him if they had noticed any problems with the handle of the Sentria from average owners as compares to the older aluminum handles on previous models. He looked at me like I was speaking Swahili.
