I stopped in the local Goodwill on Friday and got really excited when I saw an Oreck Magnesium sitting in the corner. I quickly went over to it only to find it priced for $179.99... I understand they're trying to make a profit but that is seriously too much to ask for a vacuum at Goodwill. I went back on Saturday since it was a half off day and it was still there. I figured I'd go ahead and get it for the half off price, and I also had a $12 credit there, so I walked out with it for $84. It came with a box of 3 HEPA bags and the manual.

My original intentions were to get it and then sell it on Craigslist and make a decent profit, but I'm not too sure about that now. A lot of people have said that this is a terrible vacuum but it's not too bad after all. It does a great job on bare floors, area rugs, and short pile carpet. I have a very deep pile carpet in my living room and while it does do a decent job on it, I wish it dug in a little deeper. I also really love how futuristic it looks! You have to admit that this is a very eye catching vacuum.

I think I'll use it and keep it in my collection for a while and then eventually sell it.

AWESOME find bud!

These are pretty new. I dont know why it was given to goodwill. But that is a good thing to us becuase we will get it for a lower price haha. But some vac shops charge $400 for this! Target only charges $300. But great find though. I hope you enjoy it

This was featured on QVC this past weekend & I watched very carefully and David Oreck DID not mention where this particular vacuum was made & the host mentioned the slogan "what goes in the bag, stays in the bag" & David didn't even look at him or even say anything after that. Can't wait to see when they demonstrate the new bagless Oreck.
