All done and ready to go! Definate improvment over how I found it. New bearings, brushes and full clean including bag. Hand polished so it is not showroom but decent enough for me!
Outstanding! I love my Classic Omegas. They "feel" powerful! I highly recommend the four row brush roll too. It makes the Omega much easier to push and turns into a Cleaning Beast on Steroids! What did you end up doing with the armature fan?
Bill, I ended up using the teflon tape. Worked great! I did however order some of those tolerance rings if/when I should encounter such an event again!
In before pic wouldn't it have been easier to throw Kirby down basement stair and use the Model G?--Just kidding!--'After' looks GREAT.Kirby & G would make a classic tank/upright pair for what looks like a classic house. Is that an original heat register? What style & age house? What vac gets restored next?
Ben: Yes, I did keep the original cord. It was in good shape and cleaned up nicely.
Rugsucker: It is a craftsman style built in 1918. Slowly refinishing woodwork etc.
The next vac to be finished will be the 1C I picked up a month or so ago...
