Johnson carpet cleaner

Great article that shows again that we came out of the 50s much differently than we entered them.
I have never seen these but Johnsons Wax was always known for great packaging and point of purchase displays.Often in yellow and red. Also using the best illustrators of the time for magazine ads.The 'Convertble' polisher also was known as the Super 8 among other names and the brush package sometimes featured the Frank Lloyd Wright research center.
"talcum powder'-The New Jersey Johnsons and the Racine Wis Johnsons are completely different families. The J & J Johnsons managed to provide useful products while living lives that would put 'Dallas' or 'Dynasty' to shame. Also showing how not to win friends and influence people among skilled rock masons. The J Wax Johnsons seem to have kept providing and researching products to clean and maintain the American home. Also had interesting associations with FLW and Brooks Stevens among others.

Okay as a child about 5 I remember seeing this on display with the floor scrubbers, stick vacuums, mops & brooms in a metal display stand at a furniture store that sold carpet. I can't remember what the name on the machines were but the stick vacs were round & light blue, goldish light brown not like the Regina or Shetland. I wanted to vacuum of course but my parents weren't having it there. They kept fetching me & I kept running back there. It was a small store not in a mall but it's own building. I want to say the floor scrubbers were Hoover & the stick vacs were Bissell?? I don't remember seeing those can display any other place other then that.
