Hello everyone,

I’m John Paprocki and I’m excited to join Vacuum Land! I’ve recently become interested in vintage Electrolux vacuum cleaners, especially the AP100 and AP200 models.

I’m looking forward to learning from experienced members, sharing my own discoveries, and connecting with others who appreciate well-maintained, collector-quality vacuums. I’m particularly interested in tips on finding rare units and maintaining them in top condition.

Thank you in advance for any guidance or advice—I’m happy to contribute wherever I can!

Best regards,

John

Welcome to the forum. These members know vacuums. You may want to use the search to see if there are older threads about it.

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! Glad to be here — I’m especially into the Electrolux AP100 and AP200 and looking forward to learning more and chatting with you all

Welcome to the forum, John. I agree with you and my heart is in the same place - those Canadian Lux canisters from 1960 to 1998 were something special for sure! Great performance and quality, and of course by Electrolux - the manufacturer considered legendary in the vacuum world and who invented the canister vacuum in the first place :)

Thank you so much for the kind welcome! I couldn’t agree more — those Canadian Electrolux canisters really do have something special about them. The combination of performance, durability, and design makes them stand out even decades later.

I’ve always admired how Electrolux shaped the history of the canister vacuum, and there’s just something nostalgic about their machines that newer vacuums can’t quite match. I’m really excited to learn more here and hopefully find a beautiful AP100 or AP200, complete with all the original attachments someday. I already have a nice AP200 and it’s my only vintage vacuum cleaner. I will show some pictures tomorrow. 🙂

Welcome to the forum! I wasn't into Electrolux for years as I didn't have the experience. I now own an Aerus Lux Classic and Aerus Lux Legacy canister and like using each quite a bit.
