I can totally believe it
After all the vacuum cleaners that I rescued and re-homed from beside the dumpsters at the apartments where I lived from 2004-2014, it doesn't surprise me one bit. I'll give the seller some credit for at least recognizing it might have some value/use for somebody else and thus trying to sell it instead of just trashing it. Kudos for that.
While I did cherry-pick my rescue vacs from the total number of machines I saw trashed, each one of them needed nothing more than a bag, a belt and some basic cleaning. And the Kirby Gsix that I kept for myself didn't even need a belt, although I have since installed a new one.
The others were all good to go with less than an hour's work each. Those to whom they went were thrilled to have them and I was glad to keep those machines from making a premature trip to the landfill, even if most of them were just plastic Dirt Devils.
