This is on my local offer up. Seller wants 40 bucks. Question is, is this machine a decent machine? I have no idea the model number but appears to have a retractable cord and accepts tools but missing the hose as per the seller... they claim it works fine.

Oh my god! I’ve never seen a sanitaire vacuum like this before! It looks like a combo of the eureka esp and a typical sanitaire vacuum! People are going to go bananas since this one is so rare!!

NO WAY!!!

I've never seen this vacuum before! Fascinating! I've heard before they made a Sanitaire version of the Eureka Precision, I didn't believe it at first but apparently they did! I'm amazed they made a widetrack version which usually it's mainly found on the red commercial models. By all means, go for it! These are really good performing vacuums.

I just realized the ad was posted 8 months ago but sent them a message asking if they still had it and I am interested if they do. We will see.

"Oddball" is an understatement.

You have that vacuum, and I can pretty much guarantee you that you will be the only collector out there who has one.

Never have I ever heard about such a thing, much less actually laid eyes on a photograph of one. A blue line Sanitaire wide track would be news to me. A "classic style" Sanitaire with a "Precision" cord winder would be crazy. A blue line, wide track Sanitaire with a cord winder...yeah...not from this planet.

I wish you the best of luck getting it.

It looks like Eureka cross-bred a 1970’s WideTrack Vanguard with a 1980’s Precision and rebranded the result as a Sanitaire Blue Line! Wow. Hope it works! As I’ve learned to say from Vacuumland: that thing is as rare as “hen’s teeth”!!!!

You would need a WideTrack pan converter obviously to connect a hose. Eureka even had a special WideTrack set of tools in a nice tool caddy!

If you get it, please post more pics!

It is one HELL of a great cleaner in that big ol mini meet room of mine with the Ivory white wool mega shag carpeting!!!! Out of all the vacuums I've used on it so far about the best have been Kirby Classic era, Eureka ESP, Shaylee's Riccar tandim air, Bison, Regina Brush N Beat, and the only canister I've used so far and had great results is my Electro Hygiene with Manta Rey power nozzle.

However this Eureka is a TOP Performer.

It's kind of weird that the outer bag they used on this unique Sanitaire has the phrase "HEAVY DUTY" blocked by the Precision cord winder box. Guess it was cheaper to just slap on a stock bag rather than making a special one for this model. Unless the bag is a replacement.

I believe thats the right bag, maybe not?

So I got it. Amazingly the seller randomly messaged me back; no kidding 2 months later. It needs a good service and clean up but all in all it’s solid and the motor is healthy. There is no data sticker underneath or any model # anywhere for it. They claimed they bought New about five or six years ago, if that’s true I have no idea. I’ve never seen bristles the same color instead of the standard two tone color, and the machine does have some surface rust on some of that metal parts, but it really is not all that bad and should be able to be cleaned up pretty easily.

Hank

You sure it's not 18. What type of bag does it take top fill hepa garbage bag size. That is in really good shape and the brush roll is good. Brush roll last you a couple years. A single bag might last as long too. The sanitaire are commercial grade and this is commercial on steroids. Very nice find.

Here are some pics after cleanup and service. I suspect the outer bag may not be original. I took it apart completely and washed the bag only with a normal laundry load. Then hung it to dry. It was mostly dry when I hung it up but it cleaned up very well. Looks brand new. Still have no clue as to what the model number is for this machine. It has a small spot of rust on the hood in the second to last pic. Last one one of my bass guitars are featured with it 🤟

If the previous owner said

that they bought it new 5 or 6 years ago, so 2012? Maybe there's hope it can still be had! The local janitorial supply has a few red-line models and they ask 428.00 for the wide track. I hadn't seen your post the last time I was there but I'll see what he has available to order. Who knows. I have two reds and a blue line and the motors are incredibly strong! Congrats on the seller calling you back! Billy Clyde

I think if this truly was new 5 or 6 years ago it would have the updated paper bag system and the new style handle with the switch in the handle and would have the name electrolux on it someplace. If they bought it new it must have been left over stock, which does happen a lot.
