Seen a couple of them like that here in SA, early 90's commercial seemed to have that font , We have just added Numatic vacuums to our vacuum shop.

Font

I think you will find this is one of the oldest examples of a cleaner like this. The filter and threaded machine-end of the hose are very old. The font possibly is one of the first used.

i remember

one of these in our local pub some years ago it was the light blue one with Numatic on the front exactly like the one in the pic but the hose was much thicker about twice the diamiter of a normal hose and it had the thicker wands and floor tool i have never ever seen another like it

Hey Joe!

Sorry this is a bit off topic but I know you like Numatic's, I just started a new job and they have an Eco Henry and I have to say he is rather cute looking lol and it's kinda made me want want but when I lifted him up I was surprised how heavy he was and I wonder if he would be a pain to pull around? I've never used one maybe if the office is empty I'll get him out and try haha

Hey Dan,
I know I'm not joe but I have 4 numatics so I know what they're like.
They aren't too heave to pull around die to the 2 back wheels and 2 Front castors! It is quite heavy to lift though as you have pointed out.

Speaking as a fan of the Numatic James, even though he has a shorter cord, he is slightly lighter - I think Henry's bowler hat cord tidy and the motor makes the machine, overall heavier. Not a chore to pull on carpets on hard floors though due to that long, wriggly wiggly hose of his and those massive wheels at the back.

Thanks guys can't believe I'm referring to a vacuum as "he" that smiley face was such a good idea, you've but my mind at ease I also liked the metal wand which was a supprise as I always thought they looked so basic but it felt very solid thats another vac on my list roll on pay day now!
