Well, to be honest with you, cue my cousin in NYC who had the similar problem with buying SEBO's D series. She didn't want the PN version and found the hose to be too bulky on the D4. She ended up having to buy in a SEBO D1 from Canada that comes with a suction only floor head. By all accounts she is very happy - I think SEBO U.S now sell a suction only model but only with a parquet floor tool. Due to me, she's got all the spare SEBO floor heads and a couple of other tools that she'd find difficult to buy, otherwise.
I think they're charging a lot because the company can do so if they wish. Dont forget it has that shorter electric hose on it compared to the usual hose Numatics have, unless they have the shorter ones fitted to James.
