Numatic Harry Power Nozzle Canister!

That could not be more different from the UK Harry if it tried. Over here, the power-head version has been tried several times in one design or another, but like so many canister cleaners with power heads, they rarely catch on here. Our Harry has a small air-powered turbo brush and that's his lot.

It would have to have a better power nozzle before i'd get one. I do want a Henry very badly

"Harry" is being distributed via Tip Top Parts in three configurations.

First is the standard Numatic setup with Hairobrush and charcoal filter (same as Europe). The second setup is the same as the first, but is "North Americanized" by Tip Top to include a Plastiflex electric hose, telescopic wand and Wessel Werk EBK 280 (as seen on McHardy's). The third setup simply substitutes the EBK 280 with an EBK 360 (see link).

Because the electric hose is a standard Plastiflex configuration, it will also support a wide variety of PH's.

While Nacecare is still the importer, Tip Top is exclusively supplying the entire "residential" (AKA Homecare) line of Numatic machines to vacuum stores. As such, these machines should be available to your local independent vacuum retailer.

Not sure what they mean when they state there's a "performance indicator to show when the bag is full or a blockage.." Are they referring to the whistle Harry might make? Regardless at the end of the day, Harry is a good machine and you get a good deal here.

in my opinion they have ruined a really simple and cheap machine by over complicating it, also why are they charging so much for it

As someone who was scared to death of our Eureka 260 way back in the early 1960's, I think these Smiley Vacs would calm the fears of any toddler.

I am not a big fan of power nozzle canisters in general (I prefer separate upright and canister vacs), but I thought it was neat to see a North Americanized version of Harry. Most European canisters sold in North America have versions with power nozzles, such as the Electrolux UltraOne. Just wish we would get more of the suction only versions here....

Well, to be honest with you, cue my cousin in NYC who had the similar problem with buying SEBO's D series. She didn't want the PN version and found the hose to be too bulky on the D4. She ended up having to buy in a SEBO D1 from Canada that comes with a suction only floor head. By all accounts she is very happy - I think SEBO U.S now sell a suction only model but only with a parquet floor tool. Due to me, she's got all the spare SEBO floor heads and a couple of other tools that she'd find difficult to buy, otherwise.

I think they're charging a lot because the company can do so if they wish. Dont forget it has that shorter electric hose on it compared to the usual hose Numatics have, unless they have the shorter ones fitted to James.

Adding the PN seems to be a good change, IMHO, and the EBK360 is a really good one. I do have to wonder about the price, though. That *does* seem high.

MY SA Harry, Got me thinking now, I have a spare EU Electrolux PN I wonder how well it would work wit it.

That's a great looking electric tool kit. I have the UK Henry hound with setup and to be honest it's rubbish! Far too clunky with a horrible power head

I think you can buy the red holdalls for the tools off EBAY UK. Though personally I just use an old backpack for most of my Miele and SEBO attachments - I cut off the old back straps and just hang the bag off a hook due to the central nylon hang strap, which most backpacks have. That old backpack that most people have that isn't water proof makes a fine attachment bag for Hoover and other vac accessories.

Either that or get a cheapie from Tesco.
