Got my windows replaced this week and the window company had a Euroclean canister cleaner to clean up the mess. It was nice, very quiet and it sounded like a two stage motor. I'm thinking I might want one of these for my collection. Apparently Nilfisk makes the Euroclean brand and a brand called Clarke. Does anyone have any experience with these? Are they good cleaners? It looks like they also make backpack cleaners, I'm definitely interested.

Nisflick

Builds very strong commercial quality vacuums. There above average or top tier vacuums. I can't tell you if it's too tier as I don't know the European market.

Nilfisk is a very old company who merged not too long ago with Advance/Clark. Nilfisk are known for the best filtration in the industry. Our good friend Evan has one, you should check it out while you are here for the Vacuum Cleaner Collectors Convention next month. As the theme is straight suction canister vacuums, the Euroclean would make a great one to enter into the competition.

Wow this discussion brings back memories…

I remember when I was in elementary, middle, and high school, those Advance machines were quite popular in the Idaho school district. I also remember seeing a monstrous Clark vacuum at my church. Interesting that those companies are now all subsidiaries of another company, Nilfisk.

Hi Mike,

Did you ever end up buying a Nilfisk?

I had been looking at them around the time you posted this thread, and had a half-written reply that unfortunately didn't survive a browser tab user-error.

OT: anyone know why is the message-formatting bar greyed out? It's just an image...
