Not cheap, but this eBay listing is a must-see for those wanting a pristine Eureka Empress from 1965! Looks like the hose was never even removed from its original wrapper.

Item is located near Buffalo, NY in Lancaster.

I have no connection to the seller.

Hope a collector gets it and enjoys it out of the box and on display, and not packed away never seeing daylight. That was a pinnacle machine for Eureka at the time. I have one to match my Emperor, love my sets.

I HAVE

Spent ridiculous amounts for a machine in the past, and probably would buy this if I were a little richer at the moment..LOL, But really, that's too much money..a really fine cleaner though, one of Eurekas best ever, the motor was used only in that model and its a beast!!

Guys - you are tempting me.

I could even drive to Buffalo from Montreal to pick it up!

But alas - the debts are great and the cash is low... *sigh*.....hope it goes to someone in Vacuumland so one day I could visit the Empress!

I sure hope another collector got this great find!!! I don't think I would want a new old vac as god forbid it gets dusty or scratched.

I have restored my hoover 700 but I still take it for a spin now and then as it is not NIB quality. Not so afraid to use it for the purpose intended.
