Thank you! Yes, it has the red beater bars. Its a model 2081-A and has a serial number of 3888773. (According to the stamp on the bottom of the machine.) Im assuming made in 1973?

This is my FIRST Eureka,,,boy, if anyone tells me again how heavy a Kirby Classic is to push,,,they have never pushed one of these Eureka's! That things like a tank!! Good Grief!!
That machine is ALOT of Vacuum Cleaner!
I had no idea how much MORE machine that is, compareed to say a,,Kirby 500 series. WOW!

Yes, a new belt is definatly in order,i can tell that its weak, and the headlight is burned out,,,will get it all fixed this weekend.
Im assuming a new belt will make the machine easier to push?

Yes the motor has a beautiful hummmm, and sounds perfect powering up, and winding down,,,no growling , or bearing noise at all.
Evidently the ol gal that owned it didnt use it very often!

Brush rollers

Hi Brett I really like the brush roll # 2 looks like it would really do a wonderful job on the rugs. The older Eurekas really were nice machines. Take care Doug.

It shouldn't be too hard to push, they're not nimble though, are you sure you have the setting right,, like a Kirby start at the top and move down till you can hear it on the carpet. but you'll need that new belt first.
