Hello Everyone,

I'm happy to have found this site! I have 3 Compact/Tristar vacs that I love dearly, and I'm happy to have kindred spirits here.
I have a turquoise Compact, a red Tristar, and a newer silver Tristar (early '90's), and they all still work beautifully! I've attached pictures of my blue and red.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! My first was the "silver bullet" Tristar from the early '90's and I had no idea of the history until going online many years later trying to find a part for it. I was delighted to see so many cool colors so had to buy a turquoise and red. The turquoise came with the "glitter" attachments and the matching carpet unit. There's a dark grey one for sale at a local antique mall with attachments, but I"m trying to stay away from it--lol!

I also have the "deluxe accessory kit" which I know went with the older models.

I would love to have one of the flowery ones, but I really shouldn't be buying yet another vacuum! We did try and buy a newer vacuum a few years ago, figuring ours were too old. We ended up having to go behind the new vacuum with the Compact as the new one didn't pick up nearly as much! They're bulky and can be a pain to use, but they still work great.

Compact for life

Compacts are like a tornado the y pick up every thing left behind nothing compares or beats it I love my Compact Electra C9 !
