Supposedly this is new for 2018 and is improved over the previous turbocat and turbocat zoom. Reading about it sounds impressive but I would still say that an electric nozzle or the Volt battery powered nozzle will outclean it, a turbo nozzle will never be able to clean better than an electric nozzle because of how they are designed.

Honestly it doesn't look like anything new from turbocat they've had one like that in a different color for quite a few years now. I've been holding out for a swivel neck personally.

It might be the turbocat zoom in a new color, the sound of those things is so annoying, it sounds like a dentist drill on steroids. I will stick with my electric nozzles and my Volt.

Power head any day

I still prefer an electric power head whit adjustment or floating head like Eureka or early Compact or Electrolux a motor driven brushroll will out clean an air turbo nozzle in a power head air flow can do its job at picking up the dust in a turbo cat it has to spin the nozzle annnd pick up dust so i prefer a power head .

Love my Turbocat Zoom. I don't find the noise of it bad at all.

I'll take a good power nozzle any day as well, but the Turbocats do an excellent job, and pair wonderfully with a Henry, or Dyson canister.

I have the Turbocat in the link but in black.Like others if yopu can use a REAL powernozzle or the Volt-don't bother with these air powered ones.their handtool works pretty well,though.

pairing with a Dyson

I thought the Dyson canisters used a nonstandard hose end, or at least at one time they did. I would say if you want to give a nonelectric hose canister good carpet cleaning abilities, get the Volt nozzle, it would blow the turbocat away in performance.

@n0oxy I made an adapter to use a longer hose and standard fitting tools with my Dyson Big Ball canister.

I would love a Volt power nozzle. I've had my Turbocat for about a decade now, and at the time, nothing else came close to matching it. I wish the Volt was more affordably priced, but I guess the product is unique enough, that they can sell it for however much they want.

it's worth it

It's sold as the Volt or hide-a-hose cx1000, it's worth the price, once you try it you will never go back to the turbocat. The Volt nozzle is better in every way, the reason why it costs a bit more is that it's not only a motorized power nozzle, but it also has its own fan as well, so you're actually increasing the airflow where the Turbocat is decreasing it in order to spin the turbine. For some reason Dyson does not include motorized nozzles with their canisters, they also use turbines. The Volt nozzle will turn that Dyson canister in to a Tandom air machine.

I have two

Turbocats they are the best air - driven power nozzle. Isn't the volt around $400.00? The price is pretty steep. I wouldn't like recharging the batteries either.

The Volt is $400-Expensive but was worth it.Too charge the battery-easy-just plug the Volt into its charger in less than 2 hrs DONE!
