Also on the subject of customer service. I was on hold with Dyson for 18 minutes before my call got answered. I know it's an 0800 number but I wouldn't say that long queue times are ideal. The representative at Dyson advised a 2-week wait for when the next Dyson engineer is in my area!! I've heard that Sebo and Vax send out a courier is much quicker time than that. Sebo collected and returned a friends machine within 3 working days from the original call. That's good service!

Dyson took a little over a week to send me my Dyson DC25 Animal post motor filter! Not good at all

Dyson took a week and a half to send out a new motorised head for my DC24, I couldn't vacuum with it, same when the so called robust ABS wand handles broke 3 times, so I used my Sebo Felix each time. The parts I've had from Dyson normally take a week or more to arrive.

Never had experience from G-Tech myself.

The machine has been purchased and my friend loves it. Hose is fiddle to fit on and off but she can live with that. This is from the small rug in the living room.

I told her to expect the bin on her machine to become cloudy like it has on my Dyson as she's never had a bagless before. It doesn't stay nice and shiny.

I forgot to say there is ONE thing I don't like...

If there is only one thing I dislike about the entire Mach Air range, its the standard tools. The Pet hair turbo brush is fine but I found the combi long crevice tool with the push down brush to be a terrible design.

I know Vax copied Dyson there! It is a pity that they couldn't adopt something similar to AEG/Electrolux with butterfly wings that open out. The "cup" like design for the lint picker is like pushing a tea cup along a couch. Not practical at all. I ended up buying Wilko's Electrolux derived dust brush for that - 32mm and has butterly wings on one end, dust brush on the other.

Sebo_Fan, I agree with you there. I'm not really a fan of 2 in 1 tools or 3 in 1 etc. Also found that the tool kept coming off the back of Vax.
