Ah.. oh well..

Nothing is perfect though = even old Henry vacuums that have been used continually in the commercial field break down. We have a couple of those at the company I work for from time to time. The suffer mostly from the rubberised hoses that break because sharp objects pierce them and some of the old Henry's have burnt out motors, but they're of the metal canister type, way way back from the 1970s.

No lawsuit, folks. Patents have a lifespan. Hoover waited this time. (I guess losing to Airway, and then Dyson was enough)

And Karcher and Windsor are part of the same conglomerate.

Jeezo - am I reading correctly from your link that the sale price is $945?? That's far too expensive. I note that Sebo-vacuums.com (US link website_ state that the original Sebo Essential G/G1 is priced at $599 - same machine, far better made and far more original!

The Insight has...

The WINDTUNNEL nozzle design, and a quick-change power cord. Nice machine, in my opinion, but I love Lindhaus!

New Hoover Insight Windtunnel based

i believe is what Trebor was refering to @sebo_fan not the Dubl-Duty deal i posted in this thread (as an example of Hoovers earlier effort in this market segment)...& the Dubl-Duty is a great price too. i might make a bit of a low ball offer myself soon on that Ebay Hoover Dubl-Duty deal actually if i can clear out a vac or two on Ebay to possibly justify the expenditure.

I have not tested one except at VDTA...

The owner tested one when the rep brought one in, and said he was not impressed, so I would have to see one myself to make a judgement.
