Kyle, I like your Sanitaire in the first picture, and the others are quite nice, especially the last one. I would have said something sooner, but I was away from my computer for three days. And thanks for posting the full picture of the Denim Hoover in your other thread.
It's the beginning of a work week, and many people are away or getting back from things. I'm sure that those who wish to will comment when they have the opportunity. And of course there will be many who won't becasue of various intepersonal reasons that we have no control over. We had a blast and that's what's important.
As usual it was really fun playing "vacu-wars" testing out different machines, and working on the ones that need working on. As usual it was great running the Model O, and using the 150 and all the various machines that you possess.
Hopefully we will be able to find you some brush strips for that Kenmore Self-Propelled. I pulled in the green K-mart Convertible and have re-assembled it with the new motor. It works fine and looks even better now that it's all shiny and vac-polished.
I've yet to work on the Swivel-Top and prolly wont get to that until tomorrow. I've yet to remember where I left the hose that I have to fit it. I'll have to check a few places. Thank you again for saving these for me. The K-Mart one is especially wonderful becasue that is the model I used to drol over when I was a kid and I used to get drug to K-mart for various reasons (like buying clothes). Their vacuum isle was my savior......
Hey Kyle, what kind of brush roll does that Eureka have? Don't those have the vibra groomer? Also what year was that made. I agree the sky blue is very nice. That's one of the reasons I like the Electrolux S so much (it's a beautiful sky blue).
Nice. Still kicking myself for not grabbing one of those Sears last summer at a junk place, probably it went in the dumpster. I'm surprised everyone wanting those Fantoms though. I passed over quite a few in my rounds because I guess they're not my cuppa tea and never figured anyone else would want them either. Love the Sanitaire though, smart looking vac. I've been using mine a bit lately too. It does make a good vibration on the carpet.
BTW where's the picture of the Denim vac Alan says you posted..I've looked everywhere and don't see it?
Re the denim convertible, same as mine. I always had in the back of my mind that the denim model might be a a really sought after vacuum because it might be even appealing to people who don't even collect vacuums just for the fact that it's denim like a pair of jeans. Anyone know how many were made?
