Well, if you got the money & want new I guess go for it but
I like the older stuff & can;t afford the new.
I just sold my lux 2100 with PN. They got a great buy on that vac as I got it when it was only 3 years old & I hardly used it in 16 years. The powernozzle was like new & I'm sure a 1990 lux 2100 is every bit as good and better than a new lux though it needed a new hose as the old cloth hose was leaking as is natural. So with a new hose it would be ready yo go for another 20 years.
BTW Love the G as its got a metal lined bag compartment compared to the plastic of the later model metal tanks.
My grandmother bought a new 1205 from lux. Only luxes we ever had were old ones but heck they last forever.
