How well it cleans depends greatly on what surface you're using it on - I can't see it doing well on thick American carpeting. I find the brush is too soft for deeper-pile carpet, but it does well on medium and lower pile, and bare floors.
I'm assuming your one will be rated at 1200w at most? My one is 1700w - although that's not an automatic guarantee of better performance, I'm sure the extra 500w must make some difference.
Aside from that, yes, it's a nicely made machine. If you don't like 'bagless' then you're not going to like it. I'd greatly prefer it if it was multi-cyclonic, because I don't like having to clean the messy filter every time I empty it, but it has a huge bin, and lots of well thought-out design touches. The edge-cleaning system is very clever, and works really well.
