2018 marks 5 years since Aerus's black line debuted—featuring the Lux Guardian Platinum. Has anyone heard if Aerus will be launching a new line any time soon? Since Lux International has replaced its Lux Intelligence with the S115, one would think that Aerus would also replace its LGP with a variation of the S115 in the not-too-distant future.

What advice would you give Aerus in terms of body styles, new features, tools, colors, et cetera?

Honestly, I mostly agree with the "if it ain't broke..." assessment. Adding more whiz-bang bells and whistles is mostly pointless. For a high-cost vac like an Aerus, what I want is performance and durability. Give me high airflow, good agitation, sealed filtration, first off. After that, make it quiet if possible and give me some kind of useful tool storage, and a durable housing. I'm a fan of metal for high-wear pieces, but plastic is OK. Cheap plasticky crap isn't, but not all plastic is "plasticky": don't tell me a Dirt Devil and a Riccar have the same build quality just because they both use plastic parts, for example!

While I like the idea of "power usage optimization" in principle, my experience is that cheap, mass-produced electronic controls like that break a lot, and the failures are often where the high-current side (motor power) meets the low-current control bits. Too many angry pixies in the wrong place, and she stops choochin'.

I think Aerus should modernize the power nozzle to make it adjustable and add a contaminant sensor.

Not sure if Aerus caters to its older, well-established customer base, or if it leans towards appealing to the younger gen. Colors for the former would be greige tones & stainless steel trim (deluxe), and for younger black with indigo trim & black stainless steel (deluxe).

I'm hoping the vacuum cleaner line continues. Some have speculated that it's on the way out due to outsourced/privately labeled manufacture of all its products and an overall older, niche customer base.

Agree

with the comments regarding the hose and wands. Would also like to see 'on-board' (the tank) attachment storage. Perhaps add a lower cost straight suction version to the Platinum offering with the ability to add a power brush later.

L.P.

Maybe Aerus is waiting to introduce its new line for its 95th anniversary in 2019?
