Howdy,
Never been on here before, Found out about the site from YouTube user "Vacmasterthegreat" (I know he has a name on this site, I just can't remember what it is)

Anyway, I was at the church my girlfriend goes to and I saw these older vacuums in an office and thought "Those look old/strange, I wonder if they're rare"

However, being a Mechanic by trade.. I really don't know much about vacuums other than "Look, Its a vacuum!" And a few brands (Winsor, Hoover, Electrolux etc..)

I'll tell you what I know:

One is a fairly old Eureka, the other is a KENT.. I know very little about them other than they're still in business..

The KENT looks awfully like a sanitare I once had.. Only much older.

The KENT is by far the heaviest vacuum I've ever seen.. It must tip the scales close to 80 or 90 at least..

Thanks

Kent Eureka

Essentially the Kent is just a re-branded wide path commercial Eureka. I don't know the dates of manufacture but the gold Eureka is most likely from the seventies. The Kent could be from around the same time if not newer. Both great machines that are definitely worth scooping up and keeping! Don't let anyone toss them!

Thanks for the Info Bvac6!

Funny Thing, I used to collect vacuums a long time ago.. Had a pretty impressive collection (In Size Not Rarity) But I became disinterested so I gave away most of my collection to another collector..

As for picking them up, I'll see what I can do.. There are so many more vacuums (as Well As more oddities) in that church.. But these were the only ones that looked worth taking photos of... The other ones were all covered with chips of dirt and plaster and some of them were broken.. They all looked to be older hoovers with the "Convertible" Style bag.. Nothing fancy by any means.. And I highly doubt rare.

Convertibles

most Hoover Convertibles are not that rare, but they are quite popular. Don't pass on something simply because of it;s condition. They can still be restored or used for parts, which can often be hard to find.

other vacs

Please post pics of the other vacuums even if they aren't attractive, you never know what we may spot! Who knows, you may be able to get a lot for cheap! Parts are readily available for most Eurekas of that style and most Hoovers.

Some Older Machines

Sorry no Photos Right now guys..

But I have some older machines I found in the trash awhile back...

They Go as follows:

Hoover Model 29
Hoover Model 63 x3
Misc older things

And the oldest one I have is an older Hoover model 105.. I'm Guessing its maybe 90 to 100 Years old...
