Need Wheels for a Hoover Turbopower

I inherited a Hoover Turbopower U2332 in pretty poor condition (it was used in a dog grooming parlor). I restored it back to working order except one of the wheels, which was beginning to disintegrate, fell off after getting through a two rooms. The other wheel is on it's last, um, leg as well.

I scoured the internet but can't find out where it get replacement wheels. Anyone have any idea? I hate to throw out the Hoover but it is pretty much useless without the wheels. Repair is not an option given the half the wheel is broken.

Alternatively if anyone wants the Hoover for parts, you are welcome to come and take it (I'm south of Glasgow).

Sadly, your chances of finding just the wheels are almost precisely 0. Your best bet is to find another turbopower locally and buy the whole thing just for the wheels. I havent got any spares anymore, had to use them to fix other broken wheels!

Shame really as they are very good machines once restored, and running with a new belt and good activator brushroll.

Would love to take it off your hands, sadly I'm 380 miles away and already have a U2332. Hopefully someone more local may be able to help.

If I obtain a scrap turbopower anythime soon I'll keep you in mind!

Always keep at least turbopower wheels it seems! There's a green tp near me but it would be too good to chop just for the wheels

Kelvingrove - are you in Glasgow? There's plenty of electrical shops (2nd hand) in the west end from what I can remember - you could scour that area and look for any donor machines.

The chassis will be worn out too. I have said this before, of that I am quite sure, the U2332 seem to have been prone to not having the washers fitted to the wheel axial, the result of which is the damage you've found. From memory, none of the early Turbopower models had washers, but this was soon rectified, at least by the time that the 2nd colour schemes went on sale. However, I have seen a good deal of the green models which did not have the washers fitted, almost as if someone on the production line had not been instructed to fit it, or else had simply not done so, or even if production was authorised without this part. Whatever it was, I have seen plenty of the black Turbopower Junior cleaners and electricity-board hard-bag models from the same period, all of which appeared to have the washers.
