Here's a six-part video series [each video is only a couple of minutes long] that tells the amazing and heartwarming story of a little kitten, only a few weeks old, that was found frozen in the newfallen snow.

Get a box of kleenex ready and watch this touching story...

blah, blah, blah.
Another 'cute' animal exploited for it's clickability/attention getting abilities.

The sad truth is, in the U.S. anyway, there are a superfluous amount of cats, dogs, and deer. The humane society is always having to put this overpopulated animals to sleep because after the cute phase, some people surrender them.

Dog and Cat puppy mills are a booming business. People exploiting these animals, that is certain CUTE animals when they are young. [shaking head]. And then people foolishly projecting humans qualities on these animals. It's sad, awkward, and just wrong.

As soon as people can't or aren't able to make a business off this, we won't see the pathetic commercials of "save this animal today, only $6 a month....."

I believe in treating all animals with respect, not elevating a small handful of them to the status of a fellow human while showing total disregard for the all the rest.

The other day watched a video of another cute kitten that almost got ground up in a trash shredder. The operators saw the cat and stopped the grinder-and rescued it.What was the cat doing there in the first place--You mean people throw away live pets????On the trash truck website I look at-drivers rescue pets from the trucks crushers all the time!I like it when animals are just that---animals-and cared for by folks that really want them and can care for them.I don't have an animal becuase I know I can't devote the time for the care it needs. And I have neighbors that have a large number of pets-one neighbor has a dozen or so cats-he actually sort of herds them! another neighbor behind me has dogs that bark aall the time. They do get good care in both instances.Sometimes the cat neighbor-his cats will use my garage as an impromtu "cattery"So I have a box out there with old towels and rags just in case.

We have a small dog and two cats, ALL were rescued- our Chihuahua, Taco found us, and we found the cats, (Faith and Hope) about a week old in the wood pile behind our house, abandoned by the mother. We had to bottle feed them (4 at the time!) every 4 hours for a couple weeks, then hand fed them soft food for another couple weeks. I will never buy a dog or cat, there are too many that need homes already.
