My New Swingette Model 404

I don't know what variations came on this Western Auto model, so mixing and matching are not a bad idea. I would use the plastic tubes if I find them, and any cleaning tools. The Swingette and the Commercial Porta power both have tubes and tools, and I used the Commercial tools on the W/A to clean the living room and kitchen yesterday. It's useable of course, but should have its own tools like all the others. For the record, Western Auto was kind of a low budget Sears-like company, but I think it's a really neat company. They had everything except clothing.

Just thought I'd pop in and add the cevice tool in your picture is from an Canadian Electrolux - Model AP100 (1972-75).

I Found It

The European and Canadian crevice tools have more style and verve than the American version. Nice color too.

I didn't notice that until you corrected yourself! I also wonder where the vacuum my tool came off of went.

...very cool Wester Auto "Swingette". I would say that it is from the later 1970's and it looks very much like the Hoover version color wise. Here are two uprights for WA circa the late 1970's as well. Hoover private labeled for Montgomery Wards, JCPenney and others.
