My new Sebo Automatic X1

If the machine has a red light coming up on the panel to show that the brush roll needs replacing, then by all means then replace it.

That brush check and bag check light is about as useful as a chocolate tea pot

Alex,

Sam is obviously quite happy with his X1, as he's already expressed. So why don't you do us all a favour and shut the hell up, just for five bloody minutes because you're attitude is getting RIGHT on everybody's nerves.

We KNOW you're not a Sebo fan, you've told EVERYBODY 500,000 times. But instead of posting pointless, negative remarks with absolutely no purpose other than to shove your opinion in everybody's face AGAIN, can't you just be pleased for Sam that he got a cleaner that he's happy with and for a very reasonable price? Or better yet, if you don't like it, just don't comment on it.

There is a polite, tactful and constructive way on which to express an opposing opinion, but you clearly don't know how to do that.

Well, the X range are not really THAT good, certainly not what some individuals such as yourself make them out to be.
if it wasn't for this "onboard computer" there would be nothing to brag about they are pretty average performers.

A SLIGHT bit of hypocrisy going on there, have you read what you just replied to me?

WE KNOW. You've told everybody 3 million friggin times. Just stop commenting on Sebo posts until you have something new, relevant or constructive to say.

Clearly, a lot of people disagree with you.

Also, I haven't been making them out to be anything here. I've expressed my Sebo opinion before and, until asked, don't feel the need to do so again (unlike you who feels the need to do so at every available opportunity). If you read what I actually said, I congratulated Sam on his find and posted a link to spares, should he need them.

Sam is happy with what he got and it was a bargain. Can't you just be pleased that a fellow collector has got something he's pleased with?

Well, if they were pretty AVERAGE performers, the non-sensor models worldwide wouldn't sell - yet they are found in most industrial areas and your favourite brand HOOVER saw fit to copy the SEBO G1 and turn it into their "9 years in the making" Hoover Insight and Profile uprights, Alex.

Anyway, I found something for you on the Internet. Its about as pointless as the amount of opinions you've added on this thread and the other one.

Enjoy!

The thing is, Alex, politeness and tact clearly don't work with you. People have tried that before and you're still at it. So I'm taking the blunt approach.

FFS, Alex, I'm not bothered that you don't like them. It's fine. I like that everyone here has different opinions. This would certainly be a boring forum if we didn't.

There are other members here who don't like them too and yet you're the only one pissing everybody off.

The point is not that you don't like them. Nobody is forcing you to or trying to change your opinion. What I object to is you trying to make everyone else think the same thing as you and your constant repeating of the same thing. Hell, I don't like Dyson's, but I don't try and discourage perfectly happy Dyson owners to dislike them like I do. I also don't feel the need to shout "I HATE DYSONS" from the rooftops everytime somebody mentions them like you do with Sebo. Why do you bother wasting your time and effort posting in a Sebo thread? Why not just leave it? "Sebo thread, oh I'm not a fan of those, so I'll avoid that one". It's not hard.

Well I could ask you a similar question...Why do you constantly feel the need to play the role of vacuumland moderator?

I shall submit my posts to you, cheis in the future for you to approve, since your a moderator.

I'm not moderating at all. I'm expressing the views of the people who are pissed off with your posts.

Alex, I'm getting tired of having to explain to people on and off of VL that you're not an asshole.

Well done Beko - I'm sure you will be well happy with a Sebo X1. Good old fashioned German reliability, and built like the proverbial brick **** *****! Always good to get a bargain, and bags are a reasonable price for them as well!

I may buy a cheeky new filter for it on payday. And your right about the brushroll, it lowers itself just enough to seal against the carpet. Doesnt look as good as a turbopower track, but gets the dirt out, the new bag I put in is now nearly a quarter full after running it round thoroughly today!

Cant wait to see the carpets in our house, I really hope they have a pile to them! We went rug shopping today too, some nice piles there too...

They are very easy to push round, I find. I suppose Mr Hoovers94 is right when he says they don't feel like they are doing anything, but if that was the case then the bag would still be empty after your cleaning session. An upright doesn't need to be hard to push to do any good, as you prove. If the Sebo X series was no good, then I don't think it would have been in constant production for the last 23 years, virtually unchanged - its actually an older design than the Hoover Turbopower 2 that Mr Hoovers94 cherishes so much.
