So this just came in the mail and I was so excited to get it I am so glad it is here. It is a gold compact in which I got from John "gotahaveahoover" it is in great condition and a great addition to my collection thanks so much John!! I would also like to ask any of you who might have some more information about this machine. Also if anyone has an original hose or more importantly the power nozzel for this vacuum that you may be willing to sell. This is the vacuum during its spa day thanks. Zach

You will really enjoy your Compact!  I have a two-tone Tristar (off white and blue) that I really like a lot.  In fact, it's the very first "vintage" machine I bought and refurbished.  They are powerful and simple to work on.  Enjoy!

Zach!

I'm so glad it fot there safe and sound. It looks great, and I'm very happy that pu like it. I see it is fitting right in with the others. I didn't know you were collecting the entire set. About that dog smell I mentioned, I hope you can get that out. It was NEVER used in my home, and , I don't even have a dog. Nice to know a little piece of Pittston is now in Canada. I love Canada, for a few reasons. It came from a very nice home on "Market Street".They are "Fuller" dealers.

WOW!!!

As you know (by my screen picture) I am kind of a compact nut! I grew up around them. My grandpa has a gold C9 just like yours.

I really envy that blue one you have on the far left. Do you have another picture of that one? Sorry to hijack your thread, but I have never seen that one! Yours looks fabulous!

Hi John about the dog smell. It was a little smelly but after a good wash and new bearings it smells and sounds great. Brandon I will post some pictures of that compact soon I have all the attachments to go with it including the original hose even though the hose isn't in the best condition thanks. Zach

flower power decal

Wow! The little Gold Pig

The little Gold Pig with the 40 foot tail. That's what they called it, in OH I'd say 1979? I went to work for Compact selling their machines. The only ones I ever sold them to was my family. Full price of course! They don't tell you while you training and using your family for practice that the client can get a great discount if they buy now!

Not that is was a bad deal, my Aunt had the thing for ever, but $800.00 + is a lot for a vacuum.

Anyway, the way we were taught to present the machine was the
(little Gold Pig with the 40 foot tail)
Still a very fine machine, and no it does not loose it's suction as the bag fills!

Little Gold "Pig":

Funny you should say that, because my TriStar CXL is named Arnold.

As in Arnold Ziffel, the pig on Green Acres.

This is Arnold:
