Blue bristle "Pile-lifter" brush for Lux PN

This is the brush roller I might buy for my TriStar A101 (general model # for EXL, MG1, MG2, MG3 & CS Series vacuums)

I wonder if the blue "pile lifter" bristles brush roller (shown here) seem to be more efficient than the green HPO brush roller?

I'm surprised to find a white bristle "pile lifter" brush roller for the TriStar CXL PN (shown in previous pic) but I found only for TriStar CXL PNs that use a cogged belt & haven't found a "pile lifter" brush roller for a TriStar CXL power nozzle that use a flat belt.

"Pile-lifter" brush rollers for Lux & TriStar PNs

That photo of the blue "pile lifter" brush roller on the Lux PN was from an eBay listing that ended a few yrs ago. I'm not sure if Lux and/or TriStar and/or their dealers still have those "pile lifter" brush rollers.

Here's a link for the TriStar "pile lifter" brush roller for older TriStar PNs; but I think it's only for cogged belt models. I don't know if the eBay seller is willing to part the DriStar (DriLux) for parts?

To everybody who owns Aerus Electrolux vacuum cleaners, I strongly recommend using Perfect HEPA cloth disposable bags over using Aerus Electrolux paper disposable bags. The cloth disposable bags are much better than the paper disposable bags. Thank you.

CAUTION:

Using any other bag in your Aerus/Electrolux machine will VOID your warranty. There is no legal way to tell whether Chinese made bags truly meet the Department of Energy's regulation. There is no U.S. law that says something defined as "HEPA" meets the standard they impose. Aerus/Electrolux has always been strict on this point due to the high quality bags they use.

Perfect vac

Well, it is a chinese version of an old Electrolux. They are trying to fool people into thinking they are American made, and associated with the Electrolux company. They are not. If you use their bags in a newer Aerus machine it will void your warranty. However, they would need to find out of course. The problem with the Perfect brand bags is quality control. They might be great, but might not. They might be true hepa material might not. Since they are a Chinese company, they are not worried about their reputation. Having said this, everyone has their own needs, and if these bags fit yours, have at it; just do so with eyes open as to what you are buying.
PS.
I know a couple people who have the Perfect Canister vacuum. One has had great service so far and recommends it highly for its' suction. The other person had a broken machine within the first month, and has yet to make contact with anyone to help her with a repair - she hates it. So......

I agree Dan. Just because perfect makes a bag called hepa doesn't mean it is better. Even if they made a bag that fit the platinum .. Perfect vac's bag only fits the C style bags ..perfect vac is an Electrolux knock off made in china. Not even close in quality to the original.

So far I haven't found either the green bristle HPO brush roller or the blue bristle "pile lifter" brush roller for the Lux PNs & TriStar A101 PN; the Aerus/Electrolux dealers in my area don't have any left. Or even the white bristle "pile lifter" brush roller for the TriStar DXL PN model #2-51 (cogged belt) or TriStar CXL PN model #2-1000 (flat belt)

NO! There is a difference

All are excellent machines. You would be happy with any one of them. HOWEVER, the Platinum is much more powerful than the others; has more filtration, and in general is a much better machine. I have recently puchased a Platinum and find it to be the best vacuum I have used in a long time. My Mom has the Ultra, my sister the Legacy. All work great and perform well. But the Platinum makes them both jealous !! It is really a fine vacuum, that cleans extremely well.

Cliff is right on. All clean well and are exceptional machines, but it comes down to features and filtration that separate them. You won't go wrong with any of them. I have them all except the ultra.

Will my Electrolux PN6 (Marquis-era) work OK if I put on the green bristle HPO brush roller? Or would the green bristle HPO brush roller ruin the PN motor?

Underside of Electrolux PN6 (Marquis-era) with double-helix brush roller. I use this PN with the older Electrolux canister vacuums (G, L, 1205 & Super J) instead of the older PNs (PN1, PN2 & PN4)

Those double-helix brush rollers greatly improve cleaning performance on the older Electrolux vacs!

@floor-a-matic- Brush Roll

I have no experience using the green brush roll but it was only available for a very short time before being discontinued. I've been using Electrolux vacuums for more than 20 years and in every Electrolux/Aerus machine I currently own I have replaced the brush roll with the latest style. Attached is a link to Totalvac.com which stocks the genuine Electrolux/Aerus brush roll and its only $11. I've probably purchased about 5 of these in the last 2 years and I love them! About 6 years ago I found an Epic 6000 canister sitting by the curb late at night while I was going to pick up a friend to go out for drinks. On my way home at 2am it was still there, so I grabbed from the curb and took it home only to realize the only problem was its hose had a clog. I decied to replace the brush roll, belt and it needed a headlight too, so I went to my Aerus dealer that is within 5 minutes from my house and I walked out of there spending around $60-70 on those three parts. The link is of the latest style genuine brush roll and in my opinion the best one they have made yet. Its extra turn of bristles really improves performance, and even if you dont love it, for only $11 its not a big loss. I think you would be very satisfied with it, and its not going to be overly aggresive on your carpets like the green bristle brush roll.
