Yes, the Transit connect was built in Turkey. I still see even a few first generation ones tooling around. The last Focus was plagued with the awful dual clutch automatic from Mexico. Remember the Ecosport from Brazil? Stupid swinging rear door gate then a regular lift gate but a terrible seller.

The Transit Connect, at least the examples sold in the US, are made in Spain. In the US you could get Foci ( Focuses ) with a manual or a five speed automatic.

If you are a delivery driver or use the van for work ( plumber, electrician, locksmith ) the swinging double rear doors are the way to go. I wish I could have bought a passenger version of the Transit Connect in the US with the swinging double doors but those only came on the commercial cargo versions.

Even if my mom could own a Dodge Charger or Chrysler 300, she would never blare rap music in those vehicles with bass turned up to max or vape in that car. Plus she's neither black nor a white woman identifying as black, so she doesn't really fit the demographic for those vehicles. Hell, she would never be caught dead in a Dodge Magnum.

She might be okay with an Impala, especially if it was black on black.

You guys need to realize that my mom is a 73 year old woman, so she would feel really embarrassed to show up to music practice in a vehicle that is advertised to blacks. And for the record, neither me nor her live in Atlanta, Memphis, Seattle, St. Louis, Birmingham, Jackson, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Newark, or any city where the main population is black people and where these vehicles would be ideal.

I guess I never thought about the 300 being an African American car. I always seen them as kind of an Americanized Mercedes Benz.
