(Re my Vita-Vac)

When I found out that it would be better to use the plastic-collar bags instead of the cardboard ones, I wondered where to get more. I only have a couple. I reached out to a fellow collector but didn't hear back. On a whim, I called my favorite local vac shop to see if they have any. The guy said, "You know, I have a big package of those bags that have been sitting on the shelf for 30 years. Come and get 'em!"

When I got back and set-to putting one in, I noticed a plastic ring in the bottom of the bag chamber that I hadn't notice before. I pulled it out and ... lo and behold ... a plastic bag collar with the Vita-Vac logo on it. Amazing, eg! :)

It's always better to support your local vac shop - the more hoarder and junky their store looks - the better chance they have rare parts.

That's a retail pack they gave you too, would have been meant for the shop's use to install in repaired vacs or sell them one by one if a customer needed some.
