As some of you know, I'm looking for a Kirby Tradition for my collection. I'm talking to a member of this forum about one he has. In the meantime, I was on Craigslist yesterday and came across this Classic Omega. The Omega is one of my favorite models and that Rosewood trim and shiny polished aluminum in my opinion makes it one of the most beautiful Kirbys ever made. This machine is completely original, and the attachments are like new. Only problem is it doesn't have the hose. Not a biggie as I'm sure I can get an original one reasonably. I talked to the seller, and I'm going to pick it up tomorrow morning. Then the next stop will be my friendly local Kirby dealer for a nice polish. Here are some before pictures.

I picked up the Omega this morning

And it's in better condition than I thought it would be. There is not a scratch on the casings at all. No scrape marks on the bumpers/trim and no wear on the bag. The bag needs washed, but other than that its great condition. I was concerned that it would need bearings and/or a fan, but both are in great shape. The brush roll is original, and spins freely, so doesn't really need replaced. Only thing wrong is the bulb is burned out. As far as the attachments, they are used, but well taken care of. The storage box for the attachments is almost perfect. Not faded or scuffed in any way. Whoever had this machine before took excellent care of it. Machines in this good condition are few and fare between. I know this is going to buff up beautifully. It will be a prized addition to my Kirby collection.
