More pics of the Jetflo if you can, Alan :)

I saw a Hitachi like that Jetflo (nearly typed Jetfro then, how unintentionally racist of me) once, early CV model or something..unfortunatly it was on some wasteland and in two neat halves, and that's the only one I ever saw.

Hmph.

Oh The Horror!!

It's two tone blue! A combination of yellowed plastic, surface dirt, and who knows what else! I just opened it for the pics. Also they are not stick on decals for the model name or trim, they are metal. There is a vacuum shop sticker from Pompano Beach, Fla. on the bag opening. It must have been quite a looker in its day.

He can be a looker again, Alan :)

Just need to crack open a tin of elbow grease..

(elbow grease is a british euphamism for hard work, usually related to cleaning..I dunno if you have it too Alan :P)

Love the colour too Alan, i'm told these green ones are some of the first Jetflo's from the late 1970s or something.

Well, the two toned blue ones were the first..lol.

I'm just going on what Reggie (compactc9) told me lol.

Looks good though, think you'll dare to try a full strip down and rebuild on this'un? heh you're braver than me, especially if it's put together anything like the Dial A Matic.

I find most of the Vacuums i've aquired/found worked just fine without any mechanical TLC from me at all, there's maybe one exception.

I'd like to see the same with a Dyson, they seem to manage a years average use then pack up for god. My Dad and Bro were up the tip once, casually eyeing the Vacuums for my benefit..all Dysons, most of which apparently looked brand new.

Not the first time he's seen stuff like that, lol.

Ian

It is a shame that these vacuums you mentioned can't be repaired, or easily repaired. I had to throw out two newer electric fans because no one would touch them. I have two black plastic Eurekas, one a tank, the other an upright, and I don't look forward to discarding them if they're anything like the fans. I don't want to see any of our dumps, I'd be horrified into a coma.

The earlier Dysons are a bit better, I tell you mate..it's NOT a co incidence that the quality went down the pan the second Dyson transferred production to Malaysia.

British jobs for British people I say :p
