Hello anyone, I've been wanting to make this thread for a while. This is just a general update on my collection and answering a single question i've been asked. This might be a long one.
Firstly, I've gotten some new vacuums. I got two sharp twin energy's, a purple one with an electronic push button speed control, and a pure power model that is green, light blue with a speed control slider. I got a kenmore progressive upright direct drive with an electric hose, the model with the huge headlight lens. Two Kirby Sentria II's, 1 G3, a gSix (more details on it later), and a Kirby Sentria. I sold the g3, one sentria II, and Sentria. I found a windtunnel bagless on a curb, and bought a Hoover Dual Commercial Conquest! It is so cool. oh and also a Dirt Devil Upright Deluxe, one that looks like the commercial mode with the black base and red door, but with a headlight and Edger. Lastly, I got a ProTeam ProForce 1500xp for $5 on Offer-up with the Sentria II.
For the Kirby gSix, this was the question I got. My profile picture is a kirby painted in Dyson De Stijl colors, because i love those colors, but live in america where we didn't get them. It was a spray paint job, but it turned out AMAZING! I am so happy to have this one of a kind Kirby. The painting was inspired by an offer-up post where someone had painted their Sentria's trim white. Turned out that he custom painted them and sold for a lot of money ($500). Also a new favorite YouTube channel HooverLux Restorations painted his g4.
The hoover Dual Conquest is an absolute beast. It weighs at least 50 pounds and is huge. What did I expect. It's the model with a dual black hood, though i've seen several models with a orange hood and bag. This one was $15 and about an hour away from where I live. One motor is waaaaaay too loud to be normal, and i dont wanna work on this, so I'm taking it to our local vacuum shop for a fun project in this horribly boring time. I'm missing the plastic panel between both hoods, and a new double hood is $90 so I'll just buy a sheet of plastic and cut it into shape and use some car interior clips to put in the already factory drilled holes. If anyone wants a seperate post on any of these vacuums, just tell me, and i'm happy to put more details and closer pictures than i already have attached. I have a youtube channel for vacuum videos (RettTV II) so i will also take video requests if anyone cares.
It has been great reading everyone's threads and looking at posts on thrift store finds since I still can't go to any thrift store. You can see me around commenting on posts and things. I am also looking to buy anyone's 90's era vacuums because I love the 90's vacuums. I posted this in Contemporary even though my vacs are from the 90's. The Dual Conquest is from 2004, and the Kenmore is around that time too I think. I will be doing another thread about thrift store finds when my local thrift store opens again. Well, you've reached the end. Enjoy the pictures!
Turns out that for some reason vacuumland rotated my images so most are either sideways or upside down. Sorry!
