This has to be one the coolest vacuums around! There are so many neat features to this, that do excel over Dyson. But obviously did not work too well because they all burnt out and broke.
I love mine to bits, been after one since I tried a yellow "cyclone" version at a holiday home.

Hoover vortex

What a great find Jake, these machines look really cool! would love to get one eventually shame it doesn't have the hoover vortex logo.

Did these stop production just because dyson sued them?

these should of stayed in production, they were so much better at cleaning than the dc01 apparently.
Do you like it then? and is it good?

Hi Jake,

I'm with you I love the Vortex and all the models that came after it, here's a couple of pics of some of mine, I'm also lucky enough to have the first two true Vortex models brand new in box in my storage centre in Sydney...These are the one I have picked up while living in the UK.

I had that machine some time ago!

My local chemist had thrown it out, so I took the motor out of my then pure power so I could use it!

Dyson sued them as they had copied there technology. Personally i don't think it moved as much said as the dyson. The exhaust on the cyclone is small and restricts airflow.

But generally owners were crap with cleaning filters. I know a few who cleaned filter but not the shoud as it was hidden and is small in diameter so hair loved to wrap round it.

My aunt had a hurricane and when it was new I loved it because of how power it was! But because it didn't have the technology it lost suction half way round the house and it was a really dirty job to clean the filters. Also if you used the crevice tool for too long it would restrict the super suction too much and then cut out. I would take the tool of every few minutes to allow air through to cool the machine down. Also because it was so powerful it would suck the stair cleaning house flat. So again. Turn of shake the hose and start again. That machine had quite a few repairs under warranty!
