For a plastic vacuum that was made right here in the U.S. I feel it was of very good quality I have repaired many at my store and most were beat to HE double hockey sticks but they took the abuse .

They were a great replacement as they cleaned really well and they sold well also .

I loved them and still love Hoover Even today's .

It FINALLY arrived wow

VERY IMPRESSED just as Tom Gasko said it would be but it's much more amazing in person in my home . QUIET/POWEFUL two words to describe it but gorgeous sleek and sexy could be added to the description of what I believe is "THE" perfect canister vacuum that is so user friendly whisper quiet ultimate power sexy yet simple sophisticated design . This vacuum also comes with Weezee seal of approval she LOVES her new Prima as does her daddy . Tacony/Riccar have a new a true top selling winner on its hands . Toms influence along with the vacuum museum is evident in the design and final product I am truly impressed and it has been worth the wait . Love the wand talk about quality. The hose is the perfect length 8.5 feet with suction relief valve and comfortable hand grip plus the canister is very light . The cord winder works flawlessly just like an Electrolux add to that a LONG cord this is "THE" perfect canister . I love the Electrolux dusting brush , I love the "furget it " pet tool it cleans Weezees hair like magic .
The bags are perfection at its best the superb quality is impressive.
Tom Gasko made sure I got serial number 2 off the assembly line he has number one of course .

Bravo and congratulations Tacony and Tom Gasko this is an awesome canister vacuum .
I give this is a Kirbyloverdan "MUST BUY " !!!

The Prima looks like a great American competitor to the Miele lineup. From the side it looks very similar to a S8. How much dirt do you think the bag can hold? Outside it looks huge, but it's hard to tell from the picture when it's installed. This might be a silly question, but is the canister body made in St. Louis? It looks very sturdy and I bet Tacony will sell a good amount of these. Just please don't be too expensive. I might need one of these... :)

Nathaniel

I am not sure how much dirt but the bags are huge .

As stated in previous threads the canister is made in China for now until sales pick up
which I think will be very soon then will be made in St.Louis Tacony factory .

The powernozzle is made here in the U.S. at Taconys U.S. factory .

It is miles ahead of Miele way longer hose large normal sized attachments .

Hey Dan…

This is the Other New Jersey Dan…

I am cracking up reading your post - I think Tom Mixed the two of us up…

When he e-mailed me to tell me that he could finally sell me one, he made a comment about getting me the second one off of the line, and that he kept the first for himself…

While I thought that was very nice thing to do, I wondered right then and there if he had mixed the two of us up… Or at least confused our e-mails...

Now I just hope I have something being delivered tomorrow !!! (After all Tom did charge my card !!!)

Funny Mixup aside, I am glad to hear that you are pleased and it was everything you thought and more…
It looks like a class act - Great color…

I will let you know what I think after mine arrives…

Tom - Do I have something coming as well tomorrow ??? Dan P. (Danorob1)

Congratulations on the Prima. It's nice to see a vacuum designed with the end user in mind rather than just the pinhead in accounting who thinks a 5 ft hose is just fine. Since I have a long haired dog, I have to ask about the pet brush. Does it work well?

Thanx Jeff

You can tell a lot of thought and design from other vacuums are in this canister vacuum from Tacony .
The long hose is perfect length it can reach very high without having to lift the machine .

Gary ,
I have no problem with the hose handle but then again I also have no problem with an Aerus hose handle . I guess it's personal preference the Prima is a very comfortable vacuum to use very user friendly.

Dan

I guess it all depends on how you use the vacuum and how much above the floor cleaning you use it for. I have had several vacs (Aerus, Filter Queen, Rainbow, Miele, Vortech Force, etc.) all which have the gas pump style handle and I have disliked them all as they are just too large and bulky when doing a lot of above the floor cleaning and in tight quarters. The traditional handle style on most vintage vacs is most comfortable for me. My favourite would have to be the handle on my Lux '89 with the trigger control for the power nozzle. It gives full control of turning the nozzle on/off and yet the handle is very compact and light.

I just noticed your post saying how much you dislike the gas pump handle on Aerus vacuum hoses. Just wanted to let you know, for your Guardian Platinum, that machine end hose connector is available as a separate part. If you really do prefer the pistol grip, it would be easy enough to order it & the Classic hose & put the Guardian hose connector on it, so you would have a pistol grip hose to use for dusting. I was looking into it myself, & still thinking on it....some of the rugs I have the L shaped Aerus PN does OK but could do better so I use a Eureka VG III PN on them instead, which is why I was looking into a 2nd hose for the Platinum. And yes I am using the new-style 10 degree brushroll in my powerhead, so that isn't the issue.

Kirbyloverdan was the first person to order a Prima. Ten people from vacuumland have now done so. Your order (2nd one) was shipped the day after Dans. Yours should arrive today. Any order placed after noon goes out the next day. The FedEx trucks leave us at noon. Be sure to post pictures along with your reaction when you get it.
